These did not work well when trying to cut a Palo Verde tree's little twigs. It just slipped along the twig. The anvil version did the job. Ended up taking these back due to that.

They're worth the $3 if you use them for light duty trimming and pruning. I wouldn't attempt anything over 1/4" in diameter. That being said, we use them for harvesting Thai, Cayenne, and Serrano...

The Companion stuff was probably better made, it was an alternative to Craftsman at a fraction of the price if you needed the tool but didn't plan on using it enough to justify buying the Craftsman...

I bought 4 of these last time they had a similar sale. They work ok and we lose pruners a lot anyway so it's nice to have some spares. I use them for clipping small stems like roses and they work...

For $3 its a decent pruner if used within it's capacity....i.e. smaller branches/over growth of small bushes. Handy in the truck for keeping the bushes under control

I tend to agree... the EVOLV stuff is pretty low end. It'll get you by for a short period of time but, don't expect much more than that. This isn't a Craftsman item that will (generally) last.
