Unless these are some special urlhasbeenblocked points, it doesn't seem to be true as I used my urlhasbeenblocked points this morning on purchases from Beach Camera and have used them for purchases from Adorama, etc....

Well, you are partially right. The only caveat is that you have to use your points thru buy.com (though they can be beach camera, etc. items) which may have a different price than if you buy directly...
