Never seen an interviewee that had a MBA and had the letter of rec in their resume/cover letter. I work at start up though, so HR isn't really built out.

It would be nice to keep a relationship with a professor or 2 that you could ASK for a recommendation in the future when you need it, but having a generic recommendation is generally not that useful.
