It's probably 5 or 6 years old if I had to guess.
I'll open it up again tonight and look at the coonections but I'm pretty sure there was no molex there at all.
Everything was sata powered

SATA to molex adapters are a dime a dozen. so if you truly have no molex connections in your PC, just use an adapter.

Your optical drive has molex. You can you use a Y splitter off that just fine to power this hub.

You can use a Y splitter if you have another molex in the system.
