I received it, hdmi outputs at 1920x1200 great... But I noticed a huge, long purple gash when the computer is starting with a black screen? It's like bleed through or something? This isn't normal...

They do exist. I've seen them on sale at that site before. Check it out. I've also seen sales on other various products that you might be interested in. I wasn't saying that the projection is as good...

Once you go 2550x1440 your not going back. Personally prefer the Shimian over the Catleap for the ease of 3rd party VESA mounts.

Yeah that makes sense. I'm hooking it up to a desktop with a high-end GPU w/ DVI-out and don't have any other uses for it, so it sounds perfect :)

I haven't had to report any thing but Dell is suppose to honor the warranty since Newegg is an authorized reseller.
