More than likely when you get disconnected these numbers probably drastically change and go flippant. As soon as the disconnect occurs I'd get on the phone with RR to see what they see on their end...

sounds more like a line issue than a modem issue. you can loginto most modems and see a log/status. if you do this when you lose your connection, you can tell where the issue is.

It might make some difference but I highly doubt it makes a lot. For one your area has to be upgraded to DOCIS 3 to make any difference. Two, 30mbs is well under the speed limits of DOCIS 2...
