I like MK7 while I am kicking ass in 1st but I HATE getting only banana peels & green shells while trying to endure getting thunderbolt shrunk and squid inked all of the damn time.

Is it just me or is the blooper ink WAY more powerful (to humans) in MK7 than in previous iterations. On MKDS, you could easily see through it or use the bottom map....

I guess I'm too old school. In original Mario Kart they didn't give you items based on your position in the race. That's still the gold standard for me. None of the sequels have been as fun.
