That's a great listing. So it appears his antenna mod is strictly for 5Ghz band. Aren't 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz supposed to use different kinds of antennas? I wonder how Belkin is getting away with using the...

This router is incredibly bad.... I should of listened to the warnings from users but I didn't think it would be this bad out of the box. First of all the range is absolute pitiful. I live in a...

Yeah, I saw that when looking at the internals, also wondered that. The shape of the flat internal antenna is different though (meaning, the side where the 5ghz wire and the side where 2.4ghz wire...

I'm in a similar situation to joshuaH. I tried holding the WDS button and I still can't get to CFE... The Ethernet connection light on my laptop stopped lighting up. I tried all ports including WAN.

I knew going in this was a router with crappy stock firmware which is allowing us to buy higher end hardware for so cheap. The deal is that you can load DD-WRT/Tomato on it and turn it into a good...

what's the use of simultaneous using both the bands? normally you'd just pick one and use right (due to interference)

Ok, so with 5.8ghz antennas, use channels near 165, and with channels near 36, use 5.2ghz antennas. Simple enough. According to this chart,...

I ordered from Amazon before you made your edit, but I was shocked when I received the N600 HD anyway. Flash again to tomato, the DD-WRT firmware doesn't have 5 Ghz from what I've read.

Non-soldered antenna mod is only for 5Ghz. The 2.4Ghz antenna leads are soldered.

As far as I know, the eBay antenna mod kit is a pair of dual-band antennas, and it does not require soldering.

Thanks, bought from there just for 2 day shipping. Edit: Oh god what have I done? The Amazon reviews are terrible... Hopefully that's just because they don't flash DD-WRT/Tomato.
