Put the hd in an external enclosure. I wouldn't buy an ssd smaller than 120GB for a Win 7 laptop.

7mm thick (Samsung 830 for example) unless you're willing to break two small plastic pins inside and then any 9.5mm fits too. Best upgrade for this laptop. I have it.
