Resolution has nothing to do with the eye strain, although, having "more room" on the screen is generally worth a few more $$ to me. Overall, this laptop sounds like a pretty good deal.

What causes eye strain is a giant piece of glass in front of a screen that forces you to jack up the brightness just to counteract the glare. But if you're Joe Cool enough to wear shades indoors...

if you are reading plain text, you won't see any difference. when you watch vids in full screen, you see a big difference. reducing resolution is not at all necessary, if you want to make fonts...

As far as the res and the RAM goes, I copied and pasted it directly from the page. They have it listed as 1366x768 and that it has 6GB RAM. Max says 6, which might seem odd, so that may be a typo. ...
