The introduction of the Harmony Link was a big flop with many people saying the software effort was half-assed (but the hardware was solid). I wonder if they've updated the software?

Does anyone know how the iphone communicates with the devices? Is it infrared (line of sight)? Or can it also do like an RF?

uhhh...neither. It communicates with this Logitech hardware over wifi and the logitech device does the IR stuff.
