Good deal but is the heatsink any better than the stock one? It doesn't appear to be anything fancy.

It's dead. But there was a different code ($30) a week before, died, then came back with the $40 code. So it might come back again.

That's not really how you do price comparisons. Otherwise, I could make videocard upgrades seem trivial ("only $70 more--25%--but if you look at your final build price, it's less!!!"). LOL "at...

I think most of us are aware there is much better tech out there for not much more money. Sounds crazy, but I'm still running DDR2 with an AM2+/AM3 board and I wanna milk this platform with one last...

A valid question, and one I probably should have mentioned. I am at 1680x1050, which I guess is 23.4% less pixels on the screen than 1920x1200. My reason for posting was to possibly help people...

965 is not *crap* for $70. It's a good deal for $70 but no it's not anywhere as fast as modern Intel processors or even Bulldozer in Battlefield 3 Multiplayer. ...

If you can find something like the Cooler Master GeminII S524 or Vortex Plus 4 at a good price, they are lower profile than the 212 and down-firing (so they provide cooling to other MB components),...

IMO this isn't even close to a deal, when the 1090T X6 and the like were still readily available, they were under $100, and the 965 is OLD (I've had 2 cpu upgrades since I tossed my 940).

I don't think you can unlock a 965. The AMD 960 could be unlocked. But the success rate is not 100%. It's based on your luck.

I would definitely say the newer Pentiums around $70 are worth buying. Nearly i3 2100 performance for way less if you're not worried about overclocking.
