I would stay away from the Evolv line of Craftsman tools. All of them that I've seen are not made in the USA and the quality is terrible. We had one of the electric drills at work and it wouldn't...

Man, so much disinformation on the web, variable speed gives you the flexibility to drill and drive at different speeds depending on the type materials and type of fasteners.

The variable speed is just to make starting it easier. Drills are usually designed to be fun full speed. Nice price though.

No it sure doesn't. I did not use my sywr points or anything. Even the guy mentioned that it was a 30 dollar drill and I got them dirt cheap. Weird.

Running at high RPMs is how the drill cools itself. If you run a drill at slow speeds for a long time, it is going to overheat.
Post #52230396 added 08-05-2012 2:48 PM by TomTerrific in Archived Deals
Oh silly child, high speeds heat up the drill bit and reduce cutting effectiveness, and you should never run a drill for long periods at any speed.

I agree I bought a Evolv air compressor and it was poorly made and barely able to get up to 75 psi tank pressure. Took it back the next day!! Should not even have "craftsman" on it!
