IMO, AMD is great for budget and future-proofing. You can get a quad core AMD with a board that accepts an 8-core Bulldozer or one of the new Piledriver CPU's that's coming soon. Literally, drop the...

Like from the recommended 1.5V to 1.3V, wouldn't that be as bad as going from 1.5V to 1.8V if believe in that?

Fans were not coming on. They had been initially when I put the ram in, but then after it refused to even display the post screen I gave up and went to trying the old ram again, at which point even...

:) Maybe a cable wasn't hooked right or fully plugged in or something. There's so much variance in computers and how they're built. It's great to see people with perseverance and desire to fix things.

Not really because it can only be maxed out at 1333MHz due to motherboard I believe.

Yes, the H430 can take a 2x4GB DDR3 kit -I'm not sure if you will see much benefit over a 1333 (this is 1600) but it should work fine and is pretty cheap.

Nope.
Post #52342688 added 08-09-2012 11:09 AM by Exavion in Archived Deals
That's why I said he/she won't get benefit from 1600, but the motherboard supports up to 1600 and it will work, but it will run @ 1333 - like I said, it's a decent deal even for 1333 and a good...

Use another account. Newegg is lenient on certain things and tough on others. You cannot break "max n per customer" because they will track down using your address and credit cards possibly even...

What these sticks do is amazing considering the price (hell even without considering the price there are very few sticks that can match these.)

Thx Mr. Blackbird! Even with Cali tax, it's not bad at $43. I've used Sammy DDR in embedded designs & they always outperform their datasheet, esp when it comes to self refresh power. Next step:...

I'd love to get these, but I'm wondering if they'd be a good choice. I'm looking to rebuilt my aging gaming rig, which includes replacing the motherboard. The ones I'm looking at have a 32GB limit...

Unless you're using onboard gpu or an avid OCer, the extra bandwidth has little benefit on real world. So just get a cheaper ram instead. This ram is good for its great OC potential but otherwise, a...

GREAT pair of sticks. Simply amazing. 30nm, 1.35v, oc like hell on wheels yet run cool. May not be a "holy shit" price, but cheap enough for the sick performance you get. Nobody should ever hesitate...

It's not really the absolute BEST bang for your buck. The extra performance from getting this stick vs the 17AR stick that was on sale yesterday night is marginal. Paying almost 60% more for RAM that...

LOL. Actually the other way around. Most ram today, at least above 1333, is fast enough so that the system bottle-necks on the graphic card instead. If you are into shoot'em up types of games...

I'm torn between this deal or Ripjaw-16GB-2x8GB-DDR3-1600 for $80. With the ripjaws I would get 2 x 8gb instead of 4 x 4gb. My mobo only has 4 slots, so 2 x 8gb would leave room for the future.

I guess you don't understand what "for me" means. I already have 16gb of ddr3, I'd have to sell that and replace it with this AND a $10 discount (2 sets and the discount is wiped out by CA tax...

Thanks. This ram rocks. Was waiting for it to drop below $46.99 on amazon and newegg. Newegg taxes nj which stinks, but stil $42.79 and free shoprunner shipping on this makes it worth jumping on.

Nah, more like 20 years:woot:, on a side note, this is another FP deals that has me scratching my head at just $5 savings over the normal price, I don't know what determines FP anymore.
