It doesn't support USB charging....you have to use the charging jack & wall charger. Try leaving it longer than 30 minutes in case it is really bone dry, and like @spufi said, it should start to glow...

The battery life is around 2-3 hrs. It will depend on which format the movie is in. If the tablet can decode it using HW acceleration then yea but, t2 didn't have the greatest HW codec support.
