Typically FM transmitters are not great in urban areas. I live in Chicago and while I had older cars, had a chance to use a couple FM transmitters. My best luck with the iRiver AFT-100, it actually...

I see the same thing so since it is my deal I called meritline. They are going to have their IT department reset it. Try again a little later.

I have something similar, and it works great on my drives up to Northern California. It is all farm land once you get out of Los Angeles. There are maybe 10 radio stations on the dial on the way...

I have to find a place on the radio dial where there is no local station. When I set the mp3 player to that station it works just great with very little noise. Recently when I took a road trip I...

i had used one of these FM transmitters with a regular mp3 player. It was one of the better ones with good reviews and it barely worked here in NJ including rural area that i live. It was very spotty...

Even in my mid-sized town of 150k people, it's hard to find a quiet station. I had one of these for my iPod and used it for about 2 weeks before the static noise drove me nuts.

Uh, no. I'm not sure. I live in a smaller city I guess where there are blank spaces on the dial. I agree. The beauty of this is the built in 4gb of memory. Self contained unit, nothing...

Question: How do you change between folders in this thing?
Post #52424534 added 08-13-2012 8:54 AM by auctionhugh in Archived Deals
Yes. Mine turns off when the car turns off because the plug is not powered when the car is off. When I turn the car back on, the player comes back on and starts playing, and as long as I have not...

How's the noise on the transmitter? The overwhelming majority of transmitters I've used produced noise or hiss.

hmmm i still question how well this would perform in an urban area

I live in Southern California, and these things don't work so well here. I really wish I lived somewhere that they would. Great invention if almost every station on your dial isn't taken up.

I'd bought it the last time it was on sale as well and it's pretty nice - don't expect too much for this price, but for the money it's great. It's one of the very few FM transmitters that works on my...

You know, I dumped all the music I wanted on there, five or six Jesus Culture cds, and put them all in the main folder, so I guess I don't really know.

Do both of you live in rural areas? The reason I ask is because FM transmitters do not work where I live. There is too much interference for the audio to come through clearly.

Correction. The Silver is OOS, the Red and Black are still available at this moment. If only people would search with a little more effort before posting "OOS!!!"
