The HD6450 10 tiers above the X4500 graphics. You will get much improved HTPC functionality... at bare minimum, you should see a lot of the CPU work offloaded onto the 6450 for video decoding work. ...

I wouldn't bother using two in Crossfire, Getting a Crossfire compatible motherboard will destroy the budget. You can probably score a G630 and a decent H61 motherboard for less than $110. There's...

The card is spec'd to be crossfire ready, so yes you can use two to get higher performance. As far as spec'ing out a motherboard, processor, etc. I just use Newegg, sort by lowest price and find the...

Should I buy 2 and crossfire these on an htpc build? For 25 bucks is it worth it?

If you are spending around $10~ for a video card, DDR5 obviously isn't going to matter to you.

This card is good for an entry level PC. It will consume less than 15 watts maximum. It's too slow for any serious gaming. It's useless for HTPC because of a fan.

FWIW- until I get my HD 6950 this week, I am still rocking my old open box HD 5670 DDR3. And it plays games better than I expected. For that money, an HD 6670 is a very good low priced gaming card....

Combine it with an A6 or A8 with a good mobo and you will get good gaming performance out of it, but yes, its primary focus is for an HTPC or simple use machine.

Good enough to play Left 4 Dead 2 at 1680x1050 resolution without too many frame drops. Using two in crossfire might support +30FPS of Crysis 2 at 720 resolution.
