Ordered at 2PM yesterday, paid for budget shipping and received today at 8AM. I believe someone was asking about a desktop adapter for this unit, it came with one!

OMG, PINCH ME, I had to read this a couple times to make sure I wasn't reading this wrong, a Intel 240gb SSD for $139.99 After coupon for new customers, which I am because I have never bought from...

Took me quite a bit of Googling to find out what controller it uses... guess they really don't want you to know it uses SandForce?

Is this better than sandisk extreme 240gb?
Post #52495362 added 08-15-2012 7:51 PM by lightfoot3b in Archived Deals
This is a SANDFORCE intel though! I'd rather have the Samsung at this price (or even an M4) as you would have a bit more space and a proven controller. Great deal either way. So far my 2 330...

It uses sandforce but according to people they are durable and good, what sucks is their prices are high, and there were rumors on an august price cut for all intel SSDs but i doubt this is it

On paper the specs for the Transcend look much better. Plus no rebate hassle and 16 more GB for $5 extra. I ordered 2 of the Transcends.

Are sand force drives okay to use as your only drive that will have all your files (including mp3 and picture files)? I heard sand force drives are not good with incompressible data like such as...

Wrong information. This intel 330 only comes as 9.5mm height drive. There is no spacers. You can't use it in a 7mm height drive bay. Also, for other intel SSDs which do come in 7mm flavor or...

Bank didn't charge anything, but the Square app did. 2.75% is the fee, so out of $60, I would have lost $1.65 To be honest, I used a portion of the card on Amazon and swiped the rest, so I lost...

I have a company account, so I used company name and tax id. I heard people in the past used their name and SS as tax id. It's out of stock anyways now. It's funny I ordered half hour ago and it said...

Thanks for the info. FYI, the easiest way I've found to use prepaid credit cards (with no fees) is at gas pumps. You just swipe the card and fill 'er up. And if you've only got an odd balance,...

Oh wait, I believe you are correct. It looks like the 330 is normal 9.5mm, but all the older ones (320 series, 510, X-25, etc) all had the black plastic spacer on top. But I think the 520 still has...

How does this compare to the Crucial M4 and Samsung 830? I just got a new laptop and need a SSD.

Thanks! Went ahead and purchased one. I'm guessing there are faster SSD's out there but this one is going in an older T410 and all of the other Intel drives that I have owned seem very reliable.

How can this be installed in a laptop as a primary drive and still keep the HDD as secondary ? Any instructions/links/videos will be appreciated. Also, do I need to buy any kit to do this ?

+4% at FW right now for Newegg. I think it might actually be better than the MIR-and-deal-with-buy.com crap.

How did you "swipe" the credit card with your phone? Did your bank charge a processing fee to convert the value of the prepaid card into $ in your bank account?
