It is perfectly fine to mix or switch back and forth between dino and synth oil. Your motor doesn't know what oil is inside it. It simply needs the right oil to lube and clean.

Not sure about newer models, but with my 2000 corolla it is super easy to change the oil. You can change the filter by hand, and it is easy to get to.
