hmmm... people in the reviews are claiming this is actually a re-branded 5770. In fact these might even be refurbished 5770s, as some are saying there is ware on the parts. This whole thing strikes...

ebonyks is right. A 6770 is the exact same chip as a 5770, but the BIOS is updated to add functionality. "AMD has confirmed that the HD 6700 cards use the Juniper XT and Juniper Pro cores from...

I'm having that same problem on my 6670 right now, and its not overclocked and I have a haf912 with 6 fans in it. There should be no problem with that card over heating, but I think it is.

The 6770 is essentially the same thing as the 5770, but has some added blu-ray functionality. I'm amazed to see the price stagnation of these cards, i got one for 70 almost a year ago.

I have that "super crappy" Gigabyte card. Other than having a silent fan and a factory overclock to 1100Mhz, what's "crappy" about it?

I hate this rebranding crap by both AMD/ATI and Nvidia. Just adds confusion - which I am sure is their main purpose so they can get rid of these chips.

It won't be much of an improvement, if any, at least not $70 worth.

You won't see the 4890 on there, but you can pretty much infer that it is slightly above the 4870, either in the same or tier above.

No, the card you linked is a 6670, the one in this post is a 6770 -- and the 6770 is MUCH faster than the 6670.

Who cares? The 5770 and 6770 is still the benchmark gamer card. It plays almost every game at 1080p at medium or above. Until directx 12 is released all dx11 cards will continue to be made and sold.
