And if you think the CPU and RAM matters AT ALL when combined with this card, people will laugh at you.

Wait, there's a GTX 460 V2 192bit for $80? Please link. That for $80 blows this deal out of the water.

You're still wrong. Outside of games like Warcraft that artificially limit perspective regardless of resolution, you get more enjoyable gameplay out of higher resolutions because you can see more. If...

PC gaming, or gamers, come in many flavors. If you happen to still be playing on a smaller 22-24" monitor, then this could be a good deal. Hell, I had a 21" Hitachi CRT (it was massive) that, for...

This card is epic. Plays any games I throw at it. As long as you have a quadcore cpu+ quality ram , you will laugh at people buying $400 cards.

Not a bad card, but if you can grab a 4850 for near the same price, grab it. My 1gb ASUS 4850 has been rocking the BF3 without so much as a hiccup. The 4850 has been a rock ever since its release.

Thanks for your input. What is the deal on the 7700? I would like to play the latest games, but nothing at extreme settings, etc. hope the option you mentioned is good enough.

Tom's Hardware 2010 Graphics Gaming Charts 3Dmark06 it is the next card in the score after the 8800 GT and 9800 GT. The normalized Gaming Chart (a kind of statistical averaging) for multiple games...

What are you talking about? This card is very mediocre. Have you tried Metro 2033, BF3, Crysis 2? Okay, so those are tough on a graphics card. Have you tried Just Cause 2 or Skyrim? Yes, you can...

This is a bit lower than the 4850 card I bought a few times last year at $40....still a very capable card. but $45 is a bot much for it.

After reading your attempt at relating the size of the monitor with the validity of a given card's ability... I ignored the rest of your post.

I see it in the description, but can this card be used to crossfire with the Asrock mobo that was on here? And if so, is it better to do so or spend $80 and get a better GPU. TIA. ...

I'm not really sure what you said in this novella, but if you'll squish it to a few points of interest that are actually on topic, then I'll pay attention.

If you're limited to spending $40 on a video card, it's a solid performer for the price. I know several folks that are still on 9800GT's / 4850's and doing just fine. WoW, Diablo 3, Team Fortress 2,...

I think it would do pretty decently on games like SC2 or Diablo3. As I recall a few years ago it's pretty close to a GTS250. EDIT: Yeah, its' just a little slower than a GTS250. Should be okay on...

Meanwhile, this card could NEVER EVER EVER saturate a quad core CPU, nor would it really matter because the games that actually support more than 2 cores all require a better video card. I never...

Better yet, the 2WIN card that's 160 AR that uses dual GTX460 GPUs on the same card :) I guess for WOW or SC2/Diablo gamers, this might be just fine for some light gaming... but I'm with you, I...

No - I was talking about the fact that old technology can work perfectly well, and at times work better than some of the newer bells and whistles (the 21" CRTs were almost all high-end work station...

$160 > $40 Not everyone wants to drop $160 on graphics. In fact, I don't think I've ever spent that much on a card in my life, and I've bought many a video card. The deal here is the price and...

If you talking about the XFX 4850 from NE, it was like $20 AR. Still debating on replacing that card, after updating the BIOS works perfectly with the latest drivers, can't justify paying $100+ for...

Post #52595360 added 08-20-2012 7:12 AM by duenor in Archived Deals
Not a good deal anymore. Best deal IMHO is 2x 460 V2 192bit @ about $160 for both AR. However, if you are not in epic RTS and FPS games then this is just fine.

It will crossfire with this mobo. Make sure you have at least a 500w PSU. If youre gaming at less than 1920x1080, then you would really enjoy that combo. Anything higher, and I'd drop 160$ on...

wow, was it really $20? That was a great deal!!! I have been using that for awhile, until I sold it for $80! Now I am using a 7770 I got for ~$90. There is now a 6770 for $80 which should be a...

Sometimes I am amazed at how uninformed people are... Don't hate just because you were tricked into buying a $100+ card and still think you need 100+ fps to play Crysis on low settings. Do some...
