As an FYI, I've been running an HD7750 for the past 2 months on the stock PSU and it's been fine. Might upgrade the PSU at some point in the future since it'll degrade over time (and if I'm cutting...

My experience with Lenovo has been nothing short of horrible. Simply put...cheap HW. No TC...just my experience.

It has a 280 watt lite-on supply, which was pretty freaking hard to find. I see someone who says they put a 7750 in it and it ran, but I think that may be a bit of a push. I know a 6450 will run in...

You might want to also upgrade the PSU. I can't find the one it comes with in the specs and it is most likely junk.

Anyone know how many SATA HD ports this has?

That's pretty much what I'm looking to do. I don't need anything fancy. Maybe a GT210 or HD5450 card for around $15-20 after rebate.

Would make a good Windows Server is what I would use it for though the RAM max at 6G ouch.. Need another 32GB system like the P7-1235 deal $383 after all the deals applied to it a few weeks ago.
Post #52626552 added 08-21-2012 8:53 AM by SimplyShane in Archived Deals
That's wrong too. This system can support AT LEAST 8GB. (Some have said it could even be 16GB.) 8 is guaranteed, however.

You should give the Intel HD2000 IGPU a shot first. Works just fine for every media rip I've thrown at it. Can also play my emulators just fine. IMO you're just wasting $, heat, electricity if you...

I'm sure it's doable, but it doesn't make sense to me. If I'm putting in a $150+ video card and a new power supply, I would probably just build a pc and it would have an i5 or i7.
Post #52630034 added 08-21-2012 10:45 AM by brownnote in Archived Deals
Sure, but not everyone has the total budget for an i5 let alone an i7 system, plus that can be upgraded down the road.

Oh yes, and 50 or so for a hard drive, say 500gb, or 70 for a 1tb brand new. So 360 average without graphics, or add 50-100 AR to game very well and you have a good pc for 450, step up to an i5 for...
