I don't understand the reasoning behind a $60 automatic watch. At this price point, will they even hold the time? It seems like a steep price to avoid the tick-tick movement of a normal Quartz watch.

Why don't you look up the quality of the movement used in the watch you're talking about instead of posting this. It is 2012, it doesn't really cost that much to make a quality automatic movement....

Seiko 5s are among the best of the low end automatics. I had one for a couple of years, never lost/gained more than a few seconds a month.
