Yep, good strategy. I usually try 35% - 40% and it still always works. Sucks you pay up front but the savings are usually worth it.

I got $25/day for a premium car through priceline (bidding) in Jackson Hole, for Sat-Tuesday this weekend. The fees brought it to $107 for the three days. Nice!
