That's a failed battery, Resetting the operating system wont help. The only thing to help will be to replace the battery. It is not a good idea to root or do any other customization with a battery...

No, I didn't do much with it. I don't have too many apps on it either. Is there a way, I can save the apps I have now. So that I don't lose them with a factory restore. thank you.

Sometimes there are certain apps that cause the battery to drain out fast. Try doing a factory restore to see if it works.
