lol. seems like this is changing as software is developed to be multithreaded. Still true of course, but A8 is quad and i5 is dual and it would seem AMD has lived up to some of its openCL promises....

erm, I think most mobile i5s are dual core, both sandy and ivy. I could be wrong though. Keep in mind though HD4000 may also support software which uses openCL acceleration in the future. Myself...

Yeah, not as good as the K53TA for sure and seems like this is the replacement for it this year for Best Buy Back 2 School sale. Overall, decent machine as long as you're not expecting to game too...
