LED is a type of lighting. LCD is a type of television panel. Actual LED TVs are the huge ones you'd see in basketball and football stadiums where each pixel is an individual LED bulb. ...

Well, it is worth mentioning that there are "fat" LED LCD's as well. They are backlit with LED's which can provide for blacker blacks, and sharper colors, while side lit LED LCD's are nice and thin,...

My question is, what is even the point of having 3D television. Yes its fun to watch certain movies that way, but I don't understand this push from television companies to make all their TVs this...

That means you have the ability to turn on the option to change 2D to 3D. Your viewing won't always be in 3D, only if you have that feature turned on.

It's so they can keep the prices of TV's high. I really don't see any other reason. They keep adding features which, at this point, not very many people need, just so they can charge us around the...

Based your buying decision, on one website, probably reviewed by one person, unknown of their bias....very smart. More for others. :)

It's kind of an "if you have to ask, it's not for you" thing. Yes, 3D is gimmicky, but it's also pretty cool as far as immersion goes. That said, there is very little 3D programming, so...

Like I said above, don't worry about being forced into 3D content. There is a sizeable population that can't even fully utilize 3D technology as it is, so there would be an uproar if this were even...

Ditto. It's a waste of money to buy in the "smart" of TV that manufacture tried to sell to you, as they're not "smart" to make the TV to be smart at its first place. It takes Apple, google,...

Where? Most on amazon are positive. The one at cnet is negative but cnet is pretty much a joke these days.

CNET is the one I saw. Maybe it's not the best place to trust, but it was bad enough for me not to bite.
