Just curious, but when you do refuse delivery on an order, are you charged with the return shipping fees?

good price but I wont buy OCZ again (Agility 3). It failed after only a week, corrupt and couldn't boot or wipe in either Linux or Windows

This is cheap, but the reviews and general disparagement of this brand on Slickdeals makes me question whether the price is worth the headaches of RMAs and dead drives... To quote one of the...

yes the 34nm NAND version spec'ed better than the new version. I can also confirm they do crap out after 6-8 mos of use (1st RMA resulted in afresh drive which died in a wk), 2nd one running but not...

Thanks! Got one... Couldn't resist at this price (~$0.40/GB with tax), even though it's an OCZ with some bad reviews. Would of rather preferred a Crucial, Samsung, or Intel SSD but those are still at...

I have a ssd in my htpc but it's only for the os and program files. Just to boot/wake up faster. Well worth the 60 bucks. Of course I use it for work too. All media files are on mechanical drive...

Not everyone uses a mid tower for an HTPC. I would think a HTPC would be something that fits into your TV stand, and most people would be using a HTPC case or even a low profile (half-height). Others...

Received my rebate debit card. Happy it was paid out fairly quickly. Was really worried because of the news of OCZ's financial difficulties. Anyways, my SSD has been running for two months now in...

damn if only others would follow. That's a slick price, but with ocz it's too much gamble.

There are just TOO MANY "it died in 6 months reviews". And that's from reviews within the last couple weeks. I can't bite on this one.
Post #52865096 added 08-30-2012 3:21 PM by Moonlightseal in Archived Deals
In for one. Thanks OP. I'll use it as a cache drive. The reviews make me a bit nervous using it as my OS drive.

For HTPC usage it's more about the silence, less heat, and power savings like ljstevens mentioned. The extra speed is just a nice bonus. Not everyone can/wants to turn their stereo up to 11 to drown...

Yes ... imagine you wanting to watch a movie, turn on the computer and 30 seconds later you can start watching vs waiting for around 2 minutes to boot.

I can see that in an laptop but I have a full blown mid tower for HTPC, its very quiet and heat is not an issue. I know memory holds the data (buffer) when streaming but my Hdd is still constantly...

GREAT price, I was going to buy, but way too many people saying drive failed in 6months to a year. Obviously a problem in the build.
