We did receive that confirmation email, it does say all of the order information, it does tell us to look up our online order. The only difference is that we do not have a CD-Key or a Download link...

uplay is seriously the biggest piece of shit DRM ever. RUN IT IN OFFLINE MODE ALWAYS. THE CLOUD WILL DELETE YOUR SAVES/PROGRESS. edit: luckily the first one doesn't require uplay.

Actually I dont think this game uses uplay, it has a seperate download manager after you buy it, and you cant even find original assassins creed in store of uplay app.

that's why I stick with consoles for AC, or almost anything ubisoft related, to avoid dealing with messy DRM problems, rootkit, always online limited activation, etc.
