As long as they're 12 volt batteries, you are good to go. Don't charge on the 50 amp setting.

Replace your lights with LED bulbs. You will never drain the battery with those. I had to do that for my wife, as she tends to forget to turn off the interior lights.

This unit has to be plugged in. One tip-off is that it mentions noting about having a built in battery, or the capacity for same, but even putting that aside, units like this are plug-in only.
