Decent price for a decent .22 rifle. I realize that Academy Sports has the rifle without the scope for the same price everyday, but not everyone lives close to those stores. This is another option.....

Quite simply, you cannot go wrong with a 10/22. *I* haven't heard the name Marlin since I was a kid. The Ruger, on the other hand, is still top-rated after many decades.

The 795 is not as customizable as the 10/22. The 795 arguably shoots straighter due to different rifling in the barrel. There are many discussions about this around the net you can read, and I'd...

The Marlin is more accurate than the Ruger? I may have to get one; we've been 'driving tacks' with our three 10/22s for a long time; nothing like an Anschutz, but no one in MY family can do justice...

If you happen to have a Cabela's in your area, this gun is on sale for $129.00. Score a 20 off $150 coupon on Ebay, add some ammo, and you have a slick deal. No cheapo scope however.

It's crazy that the 795 without scope was $100 last year and it's $130 this year on sale. That is an astronomical price increase. I can't decide between the 597, 795, and the 60. The tube in the...
