I totally agree :) living in the city isn't cheap! I also find that D'Ag tends to be more expensive than other NYC supermarkets (e.g. Morton Williams) but with this 50% deal, may come out a little...

yes, getting pizza for $1 a slice and bagel w/ butter for $1.35 is still the best deal you'll see in nyc. Even in NJ a pizza slice is double to triple that and a bagel with butter is about $1.65-$2...

I find D'Agostino to be very overpriced, even for Manhattan standards. But I picked up two because I don't have a car, so I'm stuck going to local supermarkets; if I break even, that will be fine...
