There's some way to do this on a device without NFC if you root the device, but I haven't been able to get it to work on my Touchpad running android.

after you place your order..just make sure the phone's screen is on and unlocked and place it on the reader...if you have PIN number enabled it will ask you to take it off and type in PIN...

Yes, I just used it today at Jamba Juice. There's a list of stores that accept this. I used my nexus 7 to pay, if you have a case for it, it might not read so you have to take it off.

The prepaid card cannot be used online. Have to go to a physical store where they accept this form of payment. Usually mcdonalds does.
