not exactly sure how they compare performance-wise, but the Del U3011 is newer and was $850 no rebate with tax in at least two places a few days ago.

I don't see the point in this remark... thunderbolt is around 1k and is only 27". By the way windows pc can also use the thunderbolt display if you got a mini display port on your video card.

Agree, I have a 3007WFP-HC and this has the same problem. I think all of the 2007 era 30" panels had this problem.

I agree too. I have this at work and the Dell u3011 at home and can notice a difference. I'd go with the Dell if you can find a deal and need a monitor in this class. The OSD and inputs are nice.

That's pretty much it, only with one less side screen. It's so nice how it matches perfectly. Something you can't do with the 27" 2560x1440 widescreen monitors.

Never mind, I've found the packing slip. Also took a picture of the UPC code from the box. Rebate instructions were not clear on that, so you never know.

They said it was a "processing error" or some other bogus excuse even though I never have a problem with any other rebate company.
Additionally, I would recommend sending it w/ delivery...

You could get 3 27" monitors with 2560x1440 resolution for this price. We have 4 of them and cannot find a bad pixel on any.

If you have Windows, this is a great option, if you have a mini Mac, MacBook, iMac, or Mac Pro, just go with the Thunderbolt Display.

Actually that's not a good comparison.
A pocket camera is nothing compared to a DSLR but a cheap Korean monitor has some features of the expensive versions.

I'm not the parent poster, but this is my setup too, along with an ergotron LX triple monitor stand: I'm using three Dells (30+2x20), but the concept is the same. They just barely fit, btw!
