Hummm...did anybody got a packing slip in the box to send the rebates? Would the printed invoice from the website account work for the rebates?

not exactly sure how they compare performance-wise, but the Del U3011 is newer and was $850 no rebate with tax in at least two places a few days ago.

I don't see the point in this remark... thunderbolt is around 1k and is only 27". By the way windows pc can also use the thunderbolt display if you got a mini display port on your video card.

Agree, I have a 3007WFP-HC and this has the same problem. I think all of the 2007 era 30" panels had this problem.

I agree too. I have this at work and the Dell u3011 at home and can notice a difference. I'd go with the Dell if you can find a deal and need a monitor in this class. The OSD and inputs are nice. ...

That's pretty much it, only with one less side screen. It's so nice how it matches perfectly. Something you can't do with the 27" 2560x1440 widescreen monitors.

Got mine today. It's gorgeous. I was about to destroy the box but then I remembered the rebates. Now what's the best way to calibrate this, short of calling a professional?

Never mind, I've found the packing slip. Also took a picture of the UPC code from the box. Rebate instructions were not clear on that, so you never know.

Actually that's not a good comparison. A pocket camera is nothing compared to a DSLR but a cheap Korean monitor has some features of the expensive versions.
