easy to see why you're butt hurt. you made an awful recommendation. earn 3% and pay 6%. sounds like a winning plan to me. 15 months is way too much with $50k debt at 6%.

Say you average an extra $5,500 each month. You could pay off all of your loans in 10 months. This is a no brainer to me, I'd love to be in your shoes.

15-months of savings seems generous unless you're buying a house in the near future. i'd scrape it down to 7 months and put the remainder into the 6% loan. No point in investing in CDs that will...
