I agree with nJoy. If you NEED a 27 inch monitor, you would be needing it for the screen real estate. Otherwise, it's a waste of space with the resolution it offers.

If you are a gamer there is something to having a slightly larger screen. I use a 30" monitor and only sit a couple of feet away. Everyone has a preference.

^^ Dont even compare this with IPS screens. 27 Inch and 1920X 1080p is not a great thing to have. We are having same resolution for 21.5inch these days. PPI matters :)

...you fail to mention that it all depends on the user. This is a solid monitor for the specs. Not everyone needs an expensive IPS monitor.
