How's this for a beginner/intermediate set? In addition to this, I'll need a drive and putter?

So how many clubs are included, the description is vague. Don't want to pay $300 for 1 club, lol

Just to chime in, if you are going to practice and try to improve but could only hit one club you should make it a 7 iron. A driver is ok for a beginner but they would be better off hitting a 3...
Question - I have played golf maybe 15 times in my life, over las 10 years. No lessons outside of a 2 hour clinic, terrible golfer (never broken 100). I've use a set of old (maybe 1999?) Ping Eye 2...

This is a very good deal! I just got these w/AW for $250 from golfsmith but that was with a 50% code not available to everyone.

No Hawaii shipping Thank God! I spent a week on the couch for the last set of irons two weeks ago :)

I would definitely get the new Razer HL's if possible. The Diablo's had a very muted feel to me which kept me from getting quality feedback on shots. The HL's are updated to be less sponge like so...

I understand that -- but what's changed? And because these are SGI irons, I imagine most high-handicappers aren't going to notice much of a difference between the two sets. Seems like the extra $75...

That's what I figured. Thanks for the helpful reply. As a total hacker who will likely have these clubs for 5 years, getting the Diablo's for $200 seems like a much better bargain than the Razr X...

How do the Razr X Black Irons compare at $310 ? http://www.ebay.com/itm/2012-Callaway-Golf-Razr-X-Black-Irons-4-PW-Golf-Clubs-Set-New-Right-Handed-/280973499111?pt=Golf_Clubs&hash=item416b535ae7

I was strictly speaking from a Club Ho standpoint (someone who changes clubs nearly every year). Any other Ho's in the house? ;) From a practical standpoint, yes, you are correct that the delta...

If you are willing to invest in lessons and get "serious", then yes, these clubs are great for you. Usually the biggest hump to overcome is whether or not you like the game. You obviously do since...

These clubs are meant for beginners/high handicappers. For sure you'll need a putter and a bag to carry your clubs. Some people say beginners should ignore the driver until they get lessons. It's...

I have the Razer X (non black version from last year) and they are fantastic. I have a 15 handicap or so and these offer great forgiveness and wonderful feel as you are improving. Great set of...

Right, but the disparity in the trade-in value is only going to decrease over time, no? So if you might sell these in a few months or a year, maybe it's worth it to spend $75 extra for the Razr's...

I got this exact set in the spring and paid $419 on sale at RockBottomGolf. I started the season as a 34.8 handicap and steadily improved to a 26 handicap (last week). I recommend these for game...

I disagree with this haha, I have been playing for around 15 years, and now 95% of the time leave my driver in my bag and hit a 3 wood off the tee. I used to hit my driver well, and as my game...

Completely disagree. I feel that if you are new to the game (as in dont have any clubs and never been to the range) you should get JUST a driver and hit the range with that. Once you can get...
