very odd. usually when there are connectivity issues you will get a 169.x.x.x IP not 172.x.x.x. Just out of curiosity, what do you mean by"MAC address not matching" - did you have a MAC filter on?

Are you getting any IP addresses from the router? What are they?
Have you checked the Droid X or Touchpad to see if they are using the right encryption and key?
