High res and increasing the DPI setting in Windows is even better. Things are the same size but more clearly defined and sharp.

i never liked how windows handles increased dpi. especially with lots of non-compliant programs. which is why i stopped buying super high resolution laptops.

Why so negative? No one is making you buy it or use it. There are definitely uses for 1080p computer monitors 27" and bigger. I won't explain them since I don't want to get into a debate about it. ...

Whats with all the hate on the 1920x1080 for 27 in monitors? I have one and a 2560x1440, and although I like the 2560x1440 for more real estate the 1920x1080 is enough for most consumers.
