If you need something with built in speakers, then yes. As stated above, DVI is the same quality as HDMI, it just doesn't support audio like HDMI does.

I personally feel that paying a little extra (or getting less features) for a Samsung is worth it. I'm also impressed by Samsung's LED backlighting. The Asus isn't LED backlit.
