Case is old - should get replaced just so things don't break and such. Getting a SD on a full system might be a better option really... your approach seems penny wise, pound foolish as they say.

The case isn't really an issue, it does the job. Looks aren't a factor, price is. As for the DVD, a new one is necessary as the motherboard I listed doesn't have any IDE slots (unless I missed it).
