Good detail. What price did you pay for the Thermaltake Water2.0 Performer LCLC

I agree get the evo. It's easier to apply the thermal paste, and if you ever need to clean and reapply the paste it's much easier to clean the pipes on the evo. The evo runs about one degree...

Happened to me, really a pain. The Arctic Freezer Pro 7 v2 doesn't clear Corsair Vengeance DRAM modules' heat sinks. So I have to point it the wrong direction. And like someone else said, I'm not...

Yea. My AC vents are in the ceiling, but I have 2 120mm fans, 1 90mm fan (drawing air from the side over the gfx card), and 2 120mm fans on the hyper 212). I'm thinking I may just get a new case and...

From the motherboard pictures, it should be no problem. AMD has kept the heatsink connector the same across all of their platforms.

Because of the fan mounts used, it's possible to offset the "push" fan on the Hyper 212 Plus "higher" on the heatsink so that there's more room above the first DIMM slot. I don't know if this affects...

What separates the necessity for air cooling and liquid cooling? Like at what point would liquid cooling be recommended? I'm planning on building a gaming rig soon and I am wondering if I can get...

You can never have your CPU temp lower than your ambient temperature with liquid cooling even at idle.

I have my eye on the evo version and will probably end up getting that for my upcoming i5 3570k build. Even though it doesn't look like I'll end up using it this time, this did prompt me to sign up...

I thought it was off too, so I pulled it off, cleaned it, reapplied AS5 and re-seated (this time rotating it 180 degrees) and got the same temps. I think I get higher temps because of my ambient...

Thanks. As long as the 2nd and 4th RAM channels are clear, I'm not too concerned. I don't see myself using all 4 channels anytime soon.

Well looking at my motherboard more closely it looks like the fan isn't hovering over left most ram slot, but just a couple mm next to it. Personally I didn't like my heatsink fan so close to the...

I agree. I mostly have just bought them locally out of convenience rather risks or reliability. Most people who want liquid cooling do it themselves. If they pay someone else to build it, in my...

Sure. I could've kept the stock cooler that would have idled at 55-65 degrees C and try to limit my activities so that I wouldn't put any load on the CPU. Or, I could keep my current rig and be...

I didn't say it would stay at under ambient temp., only with an idle cpu. Even at a minimal cpu load will the best achievable be ambient. It's more of a, "hey this is technically possible" statement...
