If you don't plan to overclock I don't see why you would. Even if you do plan to over clock, I easily got my i5-2500K up to 4.3GHz (didn't even try for more) using a Cooler Master 212+ in this case...

That's probably not the best example, the mini P180 still fits 5 hard drives and 3 optical drives. It's also the size of the a mid tower.
