It's been my experience with TWC / RoadRunner that in order to get the best price, you need to call and threaten to cancel every 6-8 months. This way they put in into a promotional rate.

The SB6141 is harder to find. And the SB6121 actually looks better and cheaper than both the SB6141 and the SBG6580, but it's not on the TWC's "Approved Devices" list

Now what does Approved Devices mean? They won't support the modem in case of technical issues or they won't even bother provisioning the MAC address on non-approved devices?

it you have or plan in the future to go with a speed over 10/1 then you need a 3.0 modem for the bonding of channels. people seem to suggest the SB6141 for its 3.0 and IPv4/IPv6.
