Just as an FYI. The only thing compatible from one carrier to the other would be the 4G LTE data services. The regular phone service would not be compatible as T-Mobile uses GSM and Metro uses CDMA...

yep, an article that i read said that one the best thing for the merger would be that metroPCS's equipment is compatible with the t-mobile network.
