I don't give all that much weight to passmark but in the passmark rating this processor is roughly the same as A8-3870K in CPU and much inferior in GPU.

So that's different than B&M how? so yeah, true, B&M only, since the only way to get this deal is to physically go in to the store & get it. That is of course assuming that sd'ers see the value in...

Practically, not much, but if you put B&M in the title and don't include a link, it implies that people have to actually shop in store. All that stuff is locked away, and it's just a hassle. I like...

How do you get 50 off? It does not work for me. I added 2 items and even logged in to see if the discount appears but nothing happens.

b&m only. that would be good info to include in the title, op - although it is true almost all microcenter deals worth doing are b&m only.

Not really true B&M only, more like in-store pickup only. You can still order and pay online.

The deal doesn't end until the end of October I believe. They added the $50 cpu/mobo off for the I3 3225 this month.

The $50 off is not just for the Asrock motherboard, it is for all motherboards. They have two H61 boards for 49.95 and one for 39.95. With that least expensive board that would come to $119.90 AR. ...

Just make sure you already have a Sandy Bridge chip or a friend with one if you buy an H61 or Z68 board - you may need to update the Bios before you can run an Ivy bridge based I3 on it.
