meh, $500 for a lappy with a low end resolution and without discrete graphics is lukewarm. Especially without some fun features (backlit keyboard, etc)

the lenovo warranty for the Z line is atrocious. Y series is much better. and with the Z you have to pay to ship it to them (not so with Y). I would avoid the Z line (in their words "lower tier") at...

Apparently a carbon copy of the Z580 that others (including me) got for $350+tax at Staples except for 2 GB less RAM in this one, unless somebody can point out any real differences.

Is this a good deal? I just picked it up because I had some points to use so I got it for 450 after tax. The guy at the store was trying to tell me a toshiba with an older I7 was a better deal.

Thanks for the legwork. The lack of Bluetooth and the extremely crappy warranty make this a cold deal for the price.

Buying this would be somewhat stupid. Google Z500. Anyway, I got a Z580 for $350. Certainly won't be buying this or any other for quite some time.

The Z model has Bluetooth. The P model does not. (from what I could find from a google search and comparing at Newegg. Also, the warranty on the model at BB says 1 year parts/labor except 90 day...
