Wow not even USB 3.0. I assumed it was since they named it "lightening" rod, err cable. The motherboard i got over a year ago has USB 3.0, get with the times apple!

It's because the bus speed of the 2.0 is just sufficient for the speed required by idevices, making them 3.0 would just increase the cost and offer no benefit.
