For timewarner/comcast just get a cheap used motorola docsis 2.0 for $20 on ebay. It maxes out at 38Mbps so unless you are on a tier which is >38Mbps then you'll be fine with a Docsis 2.0.

It looks like a 3 port switch to me. I see 3 out and 1 in. Maybe the port named cable is backwards compatible, but all of my router's with switches have 4 ports for going out, not 3.

2wire's modems are good, but not necessary better than all others. And 2wire router function can be poor. If you have a 2wire thats working as a modem but not wireless, I'd just get a cheap router....
