Not to be obsessive, but many food products say "distributed by" but won't disclose the origin. Does that Costco saffron actually disclose the origin — where it was produced, or does it strongly...

No, it's authentic stuff from Spain. I also recommend the Costco one. It was $13.49 if I remember correctly.

I've never seen saffron in store at Costco and it's not available online now. I had bought it online a few years ago and it was the one from Spain.

Don't mean to threadcrap but Costco has great quality Saffron strands for a cheaper price per ounce. That's from La Mancha as well.

Saffron doesn't go bad. However, the smell starts to fade away slowly and saffron without the fragrance is as good as saffron colour.

It clearly states that the saffron is from La Mancha in Spain and the sale is approved by the La Mancha Saffron Board. I am not an expert in Saffron but I believe to be labelled as La Mancha...
