Saffron doesn't go bad. However, the smell starts to fade away slowly and saffron without the fragrance is as good as saffron colour.

It clearly states that the saffron is from La Mancha in Spain and the sale is approved by the La Mancha Saffron Board.
I am not an expert in Saffron but I believe to be labelled as La Mancha...
